Grievances Cell

The feedback is taken at regular intervals from students and faculty members on all academic and non-academic matters. The students are given feedback forms at the end of the year or they also have the facility of dropping their problems/ queries in the suggestion boxes, which are analyzed from time to time. There is an active grievance redressal cell, comprising of senior members of teaching and non-teaching faculty. The analysis of the grievances is done and the problems are resolved within a span of one month with the help of the caretaker. Some of the issues that were resolved are as follows:

P.G: Improvement of facilities in the labs, need to include power point presentations in teaching, need for counseling about their future, more number of field trips to be organized and maintenance of cleanliness in washrooms etc.

U.G: The Commerce students complained about the existing challan system for payment of fees in the bank. They also complained about insufficient books in the library. The students said that the lights and fans were not working in the classrooms and hence they needed to be repaired.

The Physical science students complained that the office staff does not speak politely and sufficient information is not given to the students. The Sports faculty does not inform anything in the class. The speakers ofthe public address system do not function properly and hence they are not able to hear any announcement.

The Biological science students complained about the library staff. They spoke about inadequate water facility and water purifiers need to be cleaned frequently. The canteen is too expensive and lacks variety. The B.A students spoke about lack of dustbins, lack of proper cleanliness in washrooms and in classrooms

Hostel: The inmates commented on the quality of food, maintenance of cleanliness and hygiene within the premises and other amenities like medical facilities and phone, TV and reading room. They also observed that the curries had too much oil and was too spicy. The hostellers also wanted recreational facilities like sports equipment and Yoga which would help them to distress.

The feedback received by the students is entered in the register and after analyzing them, the concerned authority is called to resolve the issue as soon as possible. The maintenance, repair and addition to the already existing infrastructure help in the development of the organization. The faculty also update themselves from time to time by attending orientation programmes, workshops and seminars, thus improving their command over the subject and keeping abreast with the latest technologies. The non-teaching faculty is guided and counseled by the Principal. The hostel is guided by the Principal, who is also the chief warden and she is assisted by the Assistant Chief warden and the other employees of the hostel. Thus the feedback helps in improving the standards of facilities thereby helping in the overall development of the institution.
